Previous Event – Hop Shed Theatre Event 21st December

Join us at The Royal Star Arcade Maidstone for an evening of Christmas cheer, laughter and fun. The show will commence 4pm December 21st, in the hub of Maidstone’s vibrant shopping district.

The premise of the show is a typical Christmas party, and explores themes of emotion and fun experienced by many at a classic Christmas get-together. Throughout the show you will meet the party’s wonderful guests whilst exploring their personalities and character.

The show sees the guests of the party explore their less than perfect careers conflicted with the typical emotions that can come with Christmas: the laughter, the joy, the happiness, and sadly the misfortune for some. This is all thrown into the context of the classic British Christmas party involving a DJ and a range of typical Christmas buffet food.

The Hopshed Theatre Company is an inclusive organisation, and therefore everyone regardless of their background, experience or disability is welcome to join in. They have been operating across Kent for the past seven years, and now run weekly sessions out of the Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone. Hopshed is run by the Symbol Trust and due to this relies on charitable donations for the running and existence of the organisation.

From the Hopshed Theatre Company: “We have had a wonderful term creating the work you will see. Everyone has worked incredibly hard and most of what you see has been created by our members themselves. Our own Christmas song was also written by members of the Youth Theatre.”

Join us December 21st for an enjoyable evening in The Royal Star Arcade. The event will not only get you in the Christmas spirit, but will allow you to enjoy happiness and laughter, all whilst supporting an incredible cause.
