An Artisan market in the heart of maidstone
Taking place on the first Saturday of each month, The Royal Star Arcade Artisan Market will feature many artisanal products – from floristry to food and drink and much more! The next market will take place on Saturday 2 November, 10am to 3pm.

The next market will take place on Saturday 2 November, 10am to 3pm and there will be no fee for the suppliers to have a table as we’d love to support as many fabulous small business and Kent-made businesses as possible. We have all had a rough year with business and think it’s important for small and local business to help one another.

Exhibitor case studies
Sunshiny Clay
Francesca from Sunshiny Clay set up her business during lockdown. Francesca makes and sells air dry clay pieces. This includes hanging wall decorations and jewellery dishes. The most popular item being her daisy ring dishes.
Sunshine Clay also offers custom and personalised designs which can be pre ordered for market collections.
Checiegirl Creations
Nathifa Simon of Checiegirl Creations is a mixed media artist local to Maidstone. She creates beautiful products, perfect for gifting, both for yourself or for that special loved one. Her whimsical, colourful and bright style is available in a wide variety of products, such as original art pieces on canvases and other surfaces like crochet accessories and stationery. Repurposing materials to make many of her products is one of her passions, you can see examples of this in the use of upcycling fabric for her zip pouches and old jars for her mini desk terrariums.
Karmau Candles
Karmau Candles is a family run business, focusing on mental health and wellbeing. They provide a wealth of services from yoga and meditation to counselling and hypnotherapy. Their products are handmade, they use soy wax for their candles and their bath bombs are infused with essential oil to complement and soothe the body, mind and spirit leaving you feeling recharged and refreshed.
Kim’s Little Shop of Books
Kimberley is a mum of two, she set up 'Kim's little shop of books' whilst on maternity leave with her second baby. She works in partnership with Usborne books selling a range of activity books, reading books & jigsaw puzzles, from age 0-13+ years, she can also provide bespoke book packages to suit your budget, party bags, and baby shower gifts.

Pendlewick Candles
Rebecca loves scenting her own home with beautiful fragrances and has been making candles for many years before launching Pendlewick Candles in December 2019. Her range of products soon expanded to include wax melts, diffusers, rooms mists and bath salts and she recently launched a Botanicals range. Animals and nature have always played a big part in Robins life, so it is only natural that his art reflects that. Robin works mainly in pastels some oils and acrylic. Robin draw’s mainly animals and pet portrait commissions from your photos.
